The Axis Buoy has been superseded by the new & improved ANKLE BUOY, check it out here.

Buoy oh buoy!  This device works double time.  The Axis Buoy takes a traditional tool and gives it a modern twist to help swimmers of all ages and abilities. You can wear the Axis Buoy at your ankles as a float or between your legs as a buoy to improve your body position.

How can an Axis Buoy help my swimming?

This clever device Improves body position while building upper body strength and engaging core muscles.  The patent-Pending design allows swimmers to easily transfer the buoy between ankles and legs to improve hip rotation and build core strength.

Here's how a FINIS Axis Buoy delivers double the swim training:

After more than a year of research and development, the FINIS Axis Buoy was born. This device can be used as a traditional buoy, which isolates the legs and utilizes the core and upper body muscles, but it also can be used as an ankle float. Using the Axis Buoy as an ankle float encourages better body alignment and a more horizontal body position on the surface of the water, which helps to increase stroke efficiency.

Made of lightweight EVA foam that is slightly textured, the Axis Buoy will not chafe or irritate skin.  With ergonomic keyholes and a contoured design, the Axis buoy can function as both an ankle float and a leg buoy with the textured foam providing a secure grip to allow swimmers to easily transfer the buoy position.

Here is what the very buoyant test-pilots of the FINIS Alignment Kickboard have to say:

"This float has transformed the way I swim. When used round my ankles I swim further and faster than I can without it. It has shown me that my kick was (is still) really poor and I was using lots of energy for very little gain." - FRANCIS

"It's a great piece of a swimming kit. It works as a kick-board when used on your wrists, can be put in between your legs as a standard pull buoy or wear on your ankles. I enjoyed it most when worn on ankles. When it's worn on ankles, it keeps a natural gap between your legs to engorge a gap to allow touching toes flutter kick when swimming without it." - A SHAFIQ
